Weekly Wrap-Up Friday, Oct. 1

Another great week of making music in room 404!

Congratulations to those classes who have earned circles for mastering American songs this week.
America - 2A, 2C, 2E, 3A, 3B, 4A, 5A/C,
5 B, 6 Kung Fu Fighters (KFF) 6 Beasties
God Bless America - 2E, 4A
The Star-Spangled Banner- 3A

2A (Ms. Goebel's Class) did a great job sight singing using do, re, mi with quarter notes & rests, and half notes & rests.

In 3D (Mrs. Petrovitch's Class) Haley was a super sight singer!

The 5th and 6th graders got lots of practice singing "America" as we used it to assess their singing voices in 3 different keys. Mr. Naylor and I will be selecting the very best singers to represent Bridgeport in the City-Wide Honor Chorus.

The kindergartners finally got to play rhythm instruments. Each child experienced playing rhythm sticks, castanets, maracas, tick-tock blocks, triangles, and cowbells. This is a fun musical activity which requires great self control!
