HIGHLIGHTS FROM Oct. 4-8

More classes were able to earn a circle on my wall for mastering a patriotic song.

I'd have to say that the students in 3A were the stars of the week. Every student in that classes received the perfect score of 10 points on each of the 2 days they had music. Way to go 3A. Keep up the good work. Hopefully you can view the video (below) of them playing along with George Bizet's "Carmen". You shouldn't have to listen hard for the cymbals playing the accents! Many students had heard this music used on "America's Funniest Videos".

In 3C, Gregory was a real leader in our sight singing practice. His sister, Angel, was a real leader in her own class.

6 Beasties did a fantastic job of playing a drum line interlude and coda to the song, "Yankee Doodle". Unfortunately I had my camera set on the wrong setting and our video did not come out. We'll try again this week.

The kindergartners are doing an outstanding job playing instruments along with a recorded march AND they know how to keep the instruments quiet when it's not their turn to play!
